Hideyuki Yamasawa

Hideyuki Yamasawa — President and Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yamasawa brings over 20 years of global business management and telecommunications experience to Verio where he leads the strategic direction and growth of the company.

Mr. Yamasawa came to Verio from NTT Communications Corporation (NTTCom) where he holds a long tenure with the company and was one of the founding members helping to establish the organization in 1999. As a key founding Executive, he was largely responsible for establishing the strategic direction and vision of the company, much of which continues to be the infrastructure for which they operate today.

Mr. Yamasawa also held the position of Head of the General Affairs department for NTT Com where he was responsible for multiple facets of the business. In this role, he led the company's overall strategic planning and operations and established the corporate strategy for ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of all corporate initiatives. Under his leadership, these efforts led to revitalized operational processes and efficiencies for NTTCom and its subsidiaries.

Prior to his appointment as Head of the General Affairs department, Mr. Yamasawa served as the Deputy Managing Director of NTT Europe where he was responsible for the overall business operations of the company. Under his leadership, he established NTT Com's presence within the European marketplace and led the company to significant growth and development with continued success today.

As an employee of NTT for over twenty years, he has also held roles in: Business Planning and Development, Public Affairs, Sales and Corporate Services. Mr. Yamasawa's contributions have resulted in establishing new business growth for NTTCom and have helped position the company as a world-wide industry leader.

Mr. Yamasawa holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Keio Gijyuku University.


Steve Renda

Steve Renda — Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing

As Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing, Steve Renda brings more than 20 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications industries to Verio. In this role, Renda leads Verio's worldwide direct, OEM and channel sales strategy and operations, as well as the company's business development and marketing efforts.

Prior to joining Verio, Renda served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for MX Logic, where he was responsible for growing the company's managed security services in North America, Europe and Asia. Renda also led the company through multiple product launches and established its software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery strategy and partnership programs. Renda's background in software and managed services includes an extensive tenure at Sprint Corporation, where he developed a broad general management background including leadership roles in engineering, product development, marketing, strategic planning, finance and sales. Renda also has a strong background in corporate development, working as Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for WiFi manufacturer Vivato Networks, as well as co-founding Vistard, Inc., a start-up company that delivered wide-area broadband wireless network services.

Renda holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley Haas School of Business and received a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.


Gus Salamoun

Gus Salamoun — Senior Vice President, Global Development and Service Delivery

As Senior Vice President of Global Development and Service Delivery, Gus Salamoun brings over 20 years of demonstrated success in IT Leadership to Verio. In this role, he leads Verio's Product Development, Customer Care and Support and Operations teams. Together, they work to enhance the overall Verio customer experience as well as the development and support of Verio's products worldwide.

Salamoun joins Verio from SITA, where he served as the Vice President of Global Operations and Information Technology Services. In this role he was responsible for leading customer support efforts, system installation processes, data-center management and application services both domestically and abroad. While at SITA, he greatly improved the overall support process which resulted in faster response times and higher overall customer satisfaction levels. Salamoun also held additional executive management positions at SITA including Vice President of Solutions Engineering and Director of Infrastructure and Desktop Solutions. He also spent time at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as Senior Technical Architect and where he oversaw IT Operations and led client engagements for delivering ERP and Security solutions to key accounts. Prior to EDS, he held roles at some of the world's premier companies and educational institutions including: Bell Sygma, SHL Systemhouse, InfoPro Canada, Sargent and Lundy, Concordia and Notre Dame University.

Salamoun holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from the University of Kentucky and an Executive Certificate in Leadership and Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has also conducted post graduate studies and research in Business Administration (Management Information Systems) at the University of Concordia.


Taro Nagaoka

Taro Nagaoka — Vice President, Corporate Services

As Vice President of Corporate Services, Taro Nagaoka brings more than 10 years of experience to Verio in international Business Operations in the telecommunications industry. In this role, Nagaoka leads Verio's Corporate Services department which includes Corporate Finance, Accounting Operations, Legal, Human Resources and Facilities. Nagaoka has been with NTT Group since 1993 , initially starting his tenure with the company as an Account Manager for small to medium enterprises in the Japanese marketplace and later advancing into the position of legal and financial analyst in the International Business group. In this role, he led merger and acquisition activities, corporate investment opportunities and legal business initiatives. Prior to his current position, he also held the role of Sales Strategy Planning Manager for Verio's parent Company, NTT Communications , where he was responsible for managing corporate account activities, profitability projections, ensuring customer satisfaction and leading branding and awareness efforts.
