Hideyuki Yamasawa — President and Chief Executive Officer
As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Yamasawa brings over 20 years of global business management and telecommunications experience to Verio where he leads the strategic direction and growth of the company.
Mr. Yamasawa came to Verio from NTT Communications Corporation (NTTCom) where he holds a long tenure with the company and was one of the founding members helping to establish the organization in 1999. As a key founding Executive, he was largely responsible for establishing the strategic direction and vision of the company, much of which continues to be the infrastructure for which they operate today.
Mr. Yamasawa also held the position of Head of the General Affairs department for NTT Com where he was responsible for multiple facets of the business. In this role, he led the company's overall strategic planning and operations and established the corporate strategy for ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of all corporate initiatives. Under his leadership, these efforts led to revitalized operational processes and efficiencies for NTTCom and its subsidiaries.
Prior to his appointment as Head of the General Affairs department, Mr. Yamasawa served as the Deputy Managing Director of NTT Europe where he was responsible for the overall business operations of the company. Under his leadership, he established NTT Com's presence within the European marketplace and led the company to significant growth and development with continued success today.
As an employee of NTT for over twenty years, he has also held roles in: Business Planning and Development, Public Affairs, Sales and Corporate Services. Mr. Yamasawa's contributions have resulted in establishing new business growth for NTTCom and have helped position the company as a world-wide industry leader.
Mr. Yamasawa holds a Bachelors Degree in Economics from Keio Gijyuku University.
Rob Howard — Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing
As Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, Rob Howard brings over 30 years of Sales and Marketing leadership in the Telecommunications industry to Verio. In this role, he leads all of the company's sales channels including Direct, OEM and Channel Partner as well as Business Development and Marketing efforts globally.
Howard holds a long tenure with the company having served as a founding member of Verio as well as the Director of European Business Development. He is a subject matter expert on webhosting solutions for the small business having spent the last thirteen years developing relationships with multi-national telecommunications companies to deliver private-label solutions for resell to their small business clients. This includes SaaS, PaaS, Cloud Computing, Virtualization technologies and more, all designed exclusively for the SMB. Prior to his current role, Howard served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Account Management at Hostopia where he led the company's sales efforts to deliver private-label small business internet solutions to Hostopia's telco, cable and technology clients worldwide. Prior to his time at Hostopia, he was President of Navigator Communications which developed PBX and Voicemail solutions for the hospitality industry and was later sold to TIE Communications. Howard has spent time at some of the world's premier companies including: GE, Ameritech and WilTel Communications.
Howard holds a Bachelor of Science from American University's School of International Service (SIS).
Fred White — Vice President of Product Management
As Vice President of Product Management, Fred White leads all of Verio's product initiatives including its core service offering as well as identifying and evaluating emerging technologies for inclusion in the company's future product portfolio. With almost two decades of success in bridging business and technology, White works collaboratively with Verio's customers and partners worldwide to ensure the delivery of innovative, market leading solutions that meet both current business requirements as well as future business growth.
White brings to Verio extensive industry experience in multiple business practices including technology, business development, product management and large-scale program delivery. Under his leadership, he and his teams have successfully brought to market and managed a wide range of solutions and service offerings in the areas of Web Hosting, Cloud Servers (Infrastructure-as-a-Service/Platform-as-a-Service), Hosted Communications Suites, Hosted Messaging/ Collaboration, Enterprise Middleware, Online Storage, and more.
Prior to joining Verio, White held tenure with market leading organizations including: Cbeyond, Sapient, Hewlett-Packard, General Motors, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Learjet, and Compaq, all while developing an expertise in delivering next generation technology solutions to the SMB marketplace.
White is a recognized thought leader and industry evangelist and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy from the University of North Florida.
Tomoyuki Sakae — Vice President, Corporate Services
As Vice President of Corporate Services, Tomoyuki Sakae brings more than 15 years of Global Business experience to Verio in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Sakae came to Verio from NTT Communications Corporation (NTTCom) where he holds a long tenure with the company and served as a founding member of the team responsible for facilitating the acquisition of Verio in 2000. In his role as Vice President of Corporate Services, Sakae leads the Corporate Finance, Accounting Operations, Legal, Human Resources and Facilities teams on behalf of the company. Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Director of Corporate Finance for Verio since 2009.
Prior to joining Verio, Sakae served as the Chief of the Profit and Planning Department for NTT Communications. In this role, he was responsible for establishing the financial objectives as well as budgetary expenditures for both NTTCom and its subsidiaries. He also managed merger and acquisition activities, corporate business initiatives and overall fiduciary duties for the company.
Sakae holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Economics from The University of Tokyo.
Wataru Imajuku — Vice President, Global Service Development/Japanese Sales
As Vice President of Global Service Development and Japanese Sales, Wataru Imajuku brings 18 years of experience to Verio in international business operations in the telecommunications industry. In this role, Imajuku leads Verio's Global Service Development Department which includes System Architecture, Development and Quality Assurance. He also leads the Japanese Sales team on behalf of the company.
Wataru came to Verio from NTT Communications where he holds a long tenure with the company and started his career with NTT Group in 1994. Early in his career he served as Research Engineer for NTT Laboratories where he developed optical transmission systems for the company . Through his efforts, his work has contributed to the overall innovation of NTT's optical network as well as the development of a number of new technologies which include over 60 patents and the international standardization of these systems.
Prior to his current position, he held the role of Director of Innovative IP Architecture for NTT Communications where he led the successful development and deployment of the company's leading-edge packet transport network technology (Transport MPLS).
Imajuku holds a Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo, a Masters of Engineering and a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering from Chiba University. He has also been recognized by a number of organizations including: Young Engineer Award from the Institute of Electronics Japan in 2000, Best Paper Award from OptoElectronics and Communications Conference (OECC) 2007 and Top Mark of Post Dead Line Session in European Conference of Optical Communication (ECOC) 1999.
